The international Welsh Poetry Competition (2007-2026) has hung up its boots after twenty very successful years.
Thank you to everyone who supported us. This blog post is just to inform everyone that we shall be continuing our work, promoting poetry in Wales and around the world.
We hope to bring you news, book updates and events and will try to post something at least once a month.
We’ve removed some of the old pages from the website, but all the winners from 2007 to 2026 are still there, with the original judges’ comments. We have also created a new page with a Winners List.
Although this contest has finished, we are working hard behind the scenes to launch a bigger and better poetry book competition in 2027. We hope to have exciting news about Maya Poetry Book Awards soon…
Our fabulous anthologies are available for sale, just click the book widget on the side of the site to be taken to Amazon. We have four to collect, he winks, knowingly…
We still have our newsletter too.
